Re: The Beer Thread!
Well my brother and my sister's husband are in the military. I wish I could get stuff for Germany, but Customs will not allow it. my brother on the other hand told me he could get Everclear 190 proof from the PXC, $15. somthing, better then going to Indiana. the downside I have to order a case of liquor at a time. but it will be cheap
anybody's math great. a case at the PXC is 12 fifths or 6 liter bottles or 3 1.5 bottles to get I think $10 off.
So I start working again I have to start making a list of things I like to drink.
anything Three-olives
Jim Bean
Johnny Walker
some Crown
Wild turkey
what else should I buy

my most experimental beer was a holiday ale (orange peel, vanilla and cinnamon, and maybe something else ... can't remember)
i may try a vanilla porter this fall too!

Use coffee that you like. There is no wrong coffee variety. Fresh whole beans are the best. Do a course grind, pour into a muslim bag and steep at flame out for 2 minutes.
The best way is to brew the coffee cold overnight and add that to secondary. Cold brewing helps avoid the astringency.
