Default The Beer Thread!

I live in the PNW so I'm spoiled with tons of microbreweries. I'm a dark porter fan so it's gotta be Black Butte Porter. It's by Deschutes Brewery out of Bend, Oregon, it's got a full flavor, not too hoppy, and a kinda chocolate/mocha aftertaste.

We have a couple awesome beer stores around here and some good breweries and I like to pick a different beer every time I visit the beer store. I wish I could remember all the good beers Ive had over the years.

brethren i would like to share my review of three fine beers. lend me your ears!

Omer (blonde ale): the best beer i have ever had - ever. seriously this beer changed my life. This full bodied beer deserves to be drank on special occasions only, and must be paired with a fatty or red meat (a well-marbled cooked 'medium rare' to 'medium well' steak would match perfectly) 8% abv!
^^^specifically rack of lamb or porterhouse beef steak, either cooked rare lol!

Session Black (black lager): good, good, kinda like a clone of the Guiness black lager... that being said, it's damn good great for a bbq - ribs and/or burgers lol! it's about as full bodied as a lager can get. descent head & all
^^^Tastes like COFFEE!!!! ERIC!!!

Snow Cap (winter lager - dark): excellent beer - great replacement for the regular PBR or PigsEye in the evening lol! low carbonation, so small head, but it kicks in quick with the 7% (iirc) abv!
^^^simple enough to drink year round lol

I found this by me! It was good!!! I had more today up at Michigan State at my gfs brothers graduation. I also tried a Lagunitas Cappucino Stout it was ok but probably wouldnt have again.... I have more Bells calling my name as well as a Rogue Yellow Snow IPA, and a Rogue Chipotle Ale

I lived in Germany for 12 years...my wife and I actually have a house there we liked it soo much. We lived in between Bad Bruckenau and Wildflicken. Just a few minutes away on the top of a mountain is a monastery where the monks make beer and serve all home grown food. Kreuzberg is as good as beer gets!
