Once again, how does that work when the Beetle Turbo had the "spoiler" on the back, and the radiator up front with the motor. If I remember correctly, I think the Beetle even had the spoiler at the top edge of the rear window.

The old Beetles were rear-engine. The New Beetle is front-engine.

why would the rad be in the back, the whole point is to keep it near the front to get max. air flow to cool it down...

anyways, my friend loves the crossfire and thinks it is like teh best car and said its waaayyyyy better than a mustang...but i think a stang would kill hte crossfire

the spoiler on the back doesnt have to do with cooling the engine on the crossfire though..it is probably mostly for looks and such

It appeared to be a plate that also retracted with the wing. There was no open area

It would probably be best not to state "I know for a fact" or "have seen with my own eyes" unless you do know for a fact, especially to people who know better.

Just a tip.

the 911 porsches have a wing that comes up at 70 mph exactly like that.
Nope, the Boxster's have one exactly like that, 911's have a diffuser that pulls air into the intake as it sits right under there.

The Boxster's pop up out of the body like a mini drag wing and the 911's slide back.

It's really just to be cute on the crossfire, as it is not built to do the speeds that need that cute little thing. The point of those diffusers is to reduce the air drag across the top of the car, same with the upper back window diffusers. iff there's too much air drag across the top and little to none across the bottom it can create lift. They can tell you it is to create down force, but that is malarky, that thing couldn't take the pressure.

Nah, The original design was for pulling air out of the rear engine bay as they were air cooled engines, no water to speak of. Same with VW's the original Bugs also had a Porsche Boxster engine. Called Super Beetle.
