The national average for a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded is now $3.45, and ohio typically is a little below or around the national average. I read that the price for a barrel of oil is now at $76 vs. $116 at the end of May when prices at the pump hit $4.00/gallon. Despite the economic recession in Europe, prices are expected to continue to fall -- even as we head into winter (and the special blends that are required). I have seen as low as $3.09 in my neighborhood, and the news has even reported as low as $3.00. It is about time.
