damn, those was some big logs. most of the stuff i get from my buddie is about half that size, took about 5 big loads of logs to last the winter.

A tool loggers use to move heavy logs around is a Peavey. Makes lighter work of moving them around although you still have to get them on to the splitter. Nice stack of wood, like looking at gold. I go through at least two cords of wood a winter.

Yeah I used that for the whole logs, its just tough positioning the big ones on the splitter to split vertical.

The stack is finished, still have half a pile to stack from the first load (Giggity). Tomorrow will be more wood racks to build, and stack the first of the split pile.

This is the second load (Giggity) Ready for splitting once the other split wood is stacked.

One nice day is all I had. I had to bust my ass in between taking the kids to school and picking them up. 1 more wood rack made, 13'Lx6'H and stacked all the wood from the first delivery. The other racks were leveled off a little more as well.

This is the rack. I had to build a little more supports for it just to make sure it was solid enough to take on more weight from the other rack. After 8 straight days of rain, the mosquitos were real bad. So I brought the little fire pit over and smoked them out.

Oh yeah, Thank god for a good neighbor too! All the wood for the new racks were donated by him. The green will be pressure washed off
