Re: New to the Daddy game
Again everyone, I can't thank you enough for the support. Now what I am very curious about is the funny kids stories you have. The ones that made all the hardships better with just one line. My brother and sister had many funny moments for my parents but I can't think of any of mine at the moment.

Re: New to the Daddy game
I think we should suggest to Tom that he add baby rompers and jumpsuits to the FRF clothing line!

If she's in the mood. What a couple months when she is too tired and cranky and you have to run around town for something weird like pickles.
[quoteNow what I am very curious about is the funny kids stories you have.][/quote]My wife and I have a two year old boy who is starting to talk, and it is funny. He can't say whole words or long sentences, so it is a challenge figuring out what he is trying to say. For instance, "cans" instead of "crayons, "mo cycle" instead of "motorcycle". He loves Curious George, and the other day my wife and I were talking about who is going to watch him in a couple weeks when we go out (rarity with a young child). My wife has three sisters and two brothers and calmly said, "Kathy or Cindy". Our son looks up and says clear as day, "I'll watch George". It was so funny. Also, he is getting to the point where he repeats things, so we have to watch what we say. He calls my wife by her first name instead of, "Mommy"!
I agree with the above comments about it being challenging. Children are expensive and needy, but they are well worth it. To see the excitement in our son's face when we were on vacation last week and he could ride the kiddie rides by himself was pure awesome. Good luck.

Its not bad, my kids are awesome. But when it comes to dating, I told my daughter I have to meet them before any dates. I will be cleaning a few guns on the table when I meet them lol

My 2 cents, work your ass off! When you think you have had enough, take a vacation with the family so you dont go crazy. Then get your ass back to work.

You can do that, but make sure while you do that spend as much time with the baby as you can. Jobs, money and cars will always be there. Seeing your baby grow up is only a 1 shot deal man

Re: New to the Daddy game
I agree with Clinton. Kids are only little once. My youngest is 2 1/2 and it seems just last week she was a little baby.
They grow up too fast so take advantage of it while they are little. You have to work, but you have to make time for family.
I gave some advice before about working your ass off, but that is before your baby is born. After your baby is born, take as much time as you can to be a family.

Re: New to the Daddy game
GOD comes first then you and your wife, yes your wife, get it, then your child, thats GODs standard. your family's food and shelter is your #1 responsibilty, dad. I went through the same thing, children are a blessing, my daughter is now 22 yrs. old.

Re: New to the Daddy game
I disagree completely. Some priorities are really backwards if you think a newborn baby should be your third priority in life. That is absolutely ridiculous. And for that matter, I don't recall him mentioning his religious beliefs anywhere in this thread either so I'm not sure why you're even saying all that.
