With that said, I still would pass on it, too much money for a lowly optioned XLT.

my 4cyl 2wd gets 17mpg mostly city. The best highway I saw was around 23. I feel that the 4cyl has to try too hard to keep up to speed to be good on mileage.

Obsolete, did you have an auto or manual? For fuel economy I'd definately recommend a manual trans; easily able to get at least 2+ more mpg over an auto.

I personally wouldnt buy it. I paid just $800 more than that for a nice 4x4 supercab. I love it when I see people say "I dont need 4x4". I dont NEED it either, but guess what, it IS there when I NEED it. Not to mention going and driving on the beach and in the snow when others cant is nice too.

The only benefits to that truck is the gas, thats it. It's a regular cab (no room), has no power, and is just too small ( I used to own a 94 ranger of the same size).

If I were you, id step back and reconsider a nice Supercab 4x4 with the 4.0. Ill take the not so great gas mileage over not having power and 4x4 any day

Well if I wanted all that I would rather get an F150. I'm just not willing to pay for that much gas.

Idk, but they look evenly spaced which makes me think its residue from something that was attached there.
