Yes it was. Used to be an old Iowa DOT state truck. Got it with 105,000 miles for 2500.00.

Yes I know. You never truely get something for nothing.
But I average 30MPG with the Ranger & under 200.00 a month payment.
The Pumpkin was paid for but got 12-16 mpg depending on the time of year.

so what did you end up giving for the truck all together? Im sorry , but lets say that you didnt get the C4C stuff; i just dont see paying $17,405 for a "New" standard cab 2WD no option truck. id rather buy a slightly used on (like mine) that has 4x4 extended cab. you get ripped a new one when you buy new IMO. My truck only had 26000 miles on it when i bought it and still looked like new and had no problems with it! wonderful truck! now if i went the New Route, i would have paid $23,500 for the same exact truck. ill gladly take off $9,000 for a slightly used truck! if i went the all standerd route, it would be 17000, just not justifiable.
but props for you because you got all the discounts and stuff.

Zach, the CARS Act specifically eliminates any federal tax liability to a car buyer for participating in C4C. A CARS dealer must pay tax on the net profit in the total sale price of the vehicle, so its taxable income includes the CARS voucher plus any scrap value received from the trade.
There MIGHT be buyer liability on the state level but that varies according to individual state tax law.

I think the C4C program was an ill conceived and poorly executed government waste. However, I couldn't resist the deal and bought a 2010 Fusion.

I paid 8905.00 + TTL
So if you added back the C4C money it would have been 13405.00
