It was bound to happen...
Lost control Friday night and ended up in a ditch in the local wildlife area. Im fine aside from a couple of brusied ribs. Ill put pics up later..
But on to the damage:
radiators cracked. pepboys wants 170 for one, or should I just go to the junkyard?
The AC cooler mount is now crooked. have to take a torch to it and bend it back?
the metal pipes that take tranny fluid from tranny to the radiator are bent.
no body damage what so ever... idk how I managed that.

Re: It was bound to happen...
glad your ok, were you racing around or what? sounds like its mostly simple stuff to fix tho. as far as the radiator i would be hesitant to pull one from a JY.

Re: It was bound to happen...
That sucks dude. Get a new radiator from a radiator shop not pep boys. Dont get one from the JY, alot of them are clogged up and its a waste of money. Some shops have them brand new and tested for alot less than pep boys

Re: It was bound to happen...
I was probably doing 35ish and was slowing down going into a bend, I had sand in the brakes so they grabbed fast than i thought they would, so they locked, and my momentum was just too much. The stump that messed me up actually saved me, if i had go another 2 feet i would have been in a 20+ foot deep canal...
I already took the old one out so I can do the labor myself. Ill check if theres a radiator shop around me...

Re: It was bound to happen...
Though I too recommend getting one from a Radiator shop::
I have used the Napa Heat Buster radiator in my Jeep (added 30cubic inches and 800lbs, needs lots of cooling).
It was dirt cheap $100/ish. And has lasted 9 years so far with no leaks/overheats

Lifetime warranty and free shipping! Super Easy to install also
EDIT:
Oh and just noticed you have the same year and engine as mine so that should work for you!
