I know that personally, I have no need for a diesel and since diesel is more expensive to buy and maintain, a gasser is better. Also, it's hard to justify spending that kind of money on a truck when you can buy a nicer half ton with possibly lower miles and less whippage to it then most of the diesels around here that are chipped or beat to hell.
Nice truck! I actually wanted to get a Dodge instead of my Heavy Chevy, but meh, it's how the world works I guess. Those 5.7's can get out of their own way too, lol. Good luck with it!

Couldnt have said it better my self. Thanks! I would love a diesel but sometimes you just have ask yourself if you really need all that, I dont.
I cant believe how good the gas mileage is on this thing! I mean its not great but its alot better than I was ever expecting it to be. I pulled 18 on a 6hr Highway trip!

Re: Said goodbye to my Ranger :(
I have to agree on the diesel thing...and I'm a diesel freak. Buying a new truck is about what you need, not what you want to look bad ass. With prices now adays on trucks OUCH!!! I love diesels, but they are more expensive to maintain, and the manufacturer's have taken great strides in improving reliability, but even then one of the systems goes tits up, you are looking at a grand in repairs easy. But at the end of the day, if you don't haul often why buy it for a 6000 premium over a gas 3/4 or 1 ton, and why buy a 3/4 or 1 ton if you don't need it. The half tons are perfectly fit in the market for most truck buyers needs, between options, comfort, capability and mileage. I say good purchase sir! Although I'd have rather seen you in a Ford, the new Dodges are pretty sexy. I'm still stuck on the stigma of the older Dodges, power, poor mpg, and the truck falls apart around the engines. Good luck, change the tranny fluid at the recommended interval, the ball joints need loving, and I'll see you on the road sir!
