Default College Question

Alright I was wondering if it was possible to do 10 college classes (30 credit hours) in one year. Im going to be starting in June and need to have the classes done in March. It may be possible for a full time student but what about someone that has a full time job?

I will tell you now, since I have done this, you CAN do it, but it REALLY REALLY SUCKS!!! I have the advantage in that I really love what I do, and my degree is in what I love to do; Diesel. It will limit your social time, unless like me you don't sleep. It will also leave you drained all the time. It will really come down to the classes you are taking.

Yeah, but it comes down to homework, class time, and work time. I know that I had little homework compared to most college kids, but I had a lot of in class lab work that HAD to be done at school. So if I got behind it was hard to catch up sometimes. If you are taking a bunch of classes that take a lot of time out of class to study and have to do research projects, or you spend hours on end in class above whats scheduled then it's going to suck.

----------

Maybe I should mention I did that all in one quarter too.

Whut?

I want to get into Mechanical Engineering but I might study CAD for now. The reason Im doing this is because there is a program that allows me to go from Active duty to a weird status while doing college full time then back to active duty but as a officer. The education center is dicking me around and not really willing to sit down and talk to me about it. Also Im about to be 21 so I feel I will want to go out and do things.

15 credits per term is normal. Usually you need to take at least 15 credits per term for a BA degree, I have 14 credits now and had 16 last term and pretty much all 15 credit terms prior.

yea i know, im 20 too and enjoy my time out no doubt. 15 hours is roughly 4 to 5 classes a semester thats what i take. its really not that bad. but like you said you have active duty and what not. idk how that works and prolly wud be hard for you. but you can do i do recomend online classes. best i can tell you u just have to go in and make them get what you want. or itl never get done.

Theres a program I want to that would let me become an officer and it requires 30 credit hours to do. The reason it has to be done so fast is my decision on wether to stay in, go reserve, cross train or do the rest of my time and get out is comming up.
