Well I used to have a 99' CBR900RR, Ended up parting ways with it in a divorce. . . Sad day. If you could find one of those they are amazing. . . I would race with a buddy who was on an R1 and I could consistantly pull away, handles great, easy to control. I later got a Yamaha FZ1000 and it was a great bike too, excellent streetability, comfortable ride, excellent power, but kind of heavy, and it's a streetsport bike, I wouldn't recommend looking into it unless you are atleast 5'10" 190lbs. I bought if off of a friend in Nigeria, he had problems taking off with it, mainly because he could only touch with one set of toes and did I mention it taint light. But if you are a bigger guy then I highly recommend it sits much better then the crotch rockets. There's a pic of it in the post your pic thread but mine has race fairings as well my buddy raced and had it all dressed up in VA, then shipped, then oops it's too big. . . = (

They are wise to try and keep you from getting one. You know all those retards that drive like total tools, well they become even more dangerous when they are swinging 3 lanes across and don't see you. I got nailed by some gleetard making a left hand turn from the right lane, unfortuneately for me I was in the left hand lane and it had just started to rain. I lost a little flesh but was able to keep the bike mostly under me with my friend riding my back. To beat all the bastard got out with his umbrella and watched me pick my friend up and place her into a passing cab in the rain. Then wanted to bitch at me for hitting his 90' something Rav4 with my brand new $10k bike. Aren't I a dick. . . Aside the fact that I have no skin on my right forearm or right knee which was about the size of a cantelope and blood is pouring down my body in the rain, this monkey ass fool while standing nicely under his umbrella wanted to bitch at me. . .
Bikes are great fun, people are *******s. (end rant)

True that. I hate the idiots who pull across in front of you, when they wouldn't even think of doing it to my truck. I hate the ones that don't notice you stopped at a light and nearly run you over. I hate the ones that make lane changes into you because they think you don't exist. And to top it all off, then they get mad at you for being there!
