Just saw this shotgun, does anybody have any experience with it?

If you want a good Winchester, get the 1300.

Remington 870 are also good.

from what ive read, the sxp is the remodeled 1300. im debating between a Benelli nova, Remington 870 or the sxp. ideally id like to spend under $500 for with tax and all that fantastic stuff we out here in California have to pay.

You really don't need any bells and whistles for a shotgun, unless you are a 3-gun competitor, or something of that nature. For your need, a Winny 1300 or the Remington 870 are good.

If its for home protection, I HIGHLY recommend your FIRST shot to be a bean bag or rubber ball round, then, you can tell the person "Hey, the next shot is buck, and WILL kill you. So, get out, or identify yourself."

its primary use for now is gonna be hunting turkey, waterfowl, and coyote. eventually ill get the defense barrel and use it for both.

if you want versatility get the 870. you can change out the barrels easily and can tailer that gun to be exactly what you need it to be. the benelli's are nice but they are pretty much a single use gun.
