Possibly getting a second set of wheels...
Found an 2002 SVT Focus at one of the places up here by me. Really like it. 2.0L 4 bangor, 6 speed manual. Thats the biggest problem at this point. I dont know how to drive a stick. I'd really like to learn how, not just to get this car, but just in general.
Anyone have any thoughts on this car?

Re: Possibly getting a second set of wheels...
manual trans is the only way to go. Better power, better fuel economy and it keeps you connected with what you are doing (DRIVING). Its hard to text in traffic when you have work a clutch and stick. I bought my Trans Am not knowing how to drive stick shift, I learned in a weekend on it

Re: Possibly getting a second set of wheels...
id enjoy an svt focus if i had the money for one lol
but just buy it. if its what you want....you'll adapt to driving it quick. i bought my first truck (first one i paid for myself) with only my dad being able to test drive it....said ok and had him drive it home.
learned how to drive it within the day.
doubt the clutch on that thing is heavy anyways so i bet that cars cake to drive.

Driving a manual isn't that hard, unless you're a spastic chick. Most people as has been said pick it up within a few days.

Re: Possibly getting a second set of wheels...
The first manual vehicle I drove on the road was a SVT focus. my old boss had one that was silver. interior was really cool, liked the seats. His had the 12 spoke wheels though. He later threw a Jackson racing supercharger on it.

Re: Possibly getting a second set of wheels...
my last car was a manual zx3. drove it home from the lot the day i bought it and i never drove a manual before, but it wasnt too hard because ive been riding motorcycles and dirtbikes for a long time and its basically the same, but you will stall a few times and spin tires a few times

whats why when they are comming up, ill let it roll a bit, then when they get up on me, ill go a lil forward and let it roll back a lil bit...just so they know, its a stick, and i might be shitfaced. (dont really drink and drive, just prolly look drunk when im rolling back and forth)

Re: Possibly getting a second set of wheels...
i just figured hey, if they hit the bumper its their fault. Then i remembered it wasnt my car and i definatly didnt want the police coming and giving me shit haha
----------
the roads were wet so i was getting first, second and third gear chips all over. It was so sick, made me want a stick. The girl says to this day her car doesnt feel the same LOL
