Default We picked out our wedding spot!

The fiance (Sara) and I, picked out our wedding location last night! Its a beautiful little wedding chapel in Dobson, NC. Its beside a VERY nice restaurant (The Depot). The owners own it all, the restaurant and chapel and and everything (you should see their dang house! it sits on top of the hill adjacent to the restaurant and chapel). The restaurant has the banquet hall for our reception!

It is cheap compared to most wedding places! $700 covers the chapel cost and the banquest hall is included! The chapel holds around 100 people i think. the banquet hall hold alot of people! and ill tell you what this place is gorgeous! The chapel is fully decorated and so is the banquet hall for the most part. the restaurant will provide a server at ten dollars an hour (weddign doesnt last that long) and tableclots for 100 tabls for $100 cleaning fee. so we are looking at 830-840 for the location plus the cost of food. The wedding food menu has REALLY good prices. We are jsut getting appetizer finger foods for our reception. So im thinking our wedding will not cost more than $2500 after location, dresses (her mom is buying wedding dress), tuxes, etc...We are paying for our wedding. We do not have rich parents (shoot i make more than my mom) and i think htis wil be perfect!

the banquet hall:

these pictures dont do the place justice. This place is beautiful and its only like 10 mins form the house!

Our Wedding is August 27, 2011. Its almost two years away, but we have alot of money to save for a place to live as well as wedding!

the bride to be:

That's a nice looking place. Nicer than where mine was. We got married at a yacht club and that and her dress was the only thing we had to pay for me and my family made the rest. Congrats to you.

That would look real good, go to a wedding and they drive away in a Ranger, Through a parking lot of Rangers, hell lets make the cake a Ranger! lol

If nothing else hit us up with the link to see pics when the big day comes, or have a live streaming video.

Awesome! This is further proof that you can have an awesome wedding without spending a crap load of money! Weddings shouldn't be about a fancy dinner. Who goes to a wedding for food? Nobody. Its for you getting married and socializing and drinking, not eating.
