That is such a sick bike! Im hoping to upgrade to something bigger next year but we will see how it goes, maybe 2 more years... insurance is too expensive on anything bigger for me right now... but i love having the bike, so much fun

Nice ride Brodie. Had one of those in black but looks like mine was the previous year. Those 250's turn into a beast in the twisties. Gonna be a sad day if my girlfriend and I decide to part with it. Would have posted this sooner but uuhhh...been out riding

ive been looking at getting a DR-Z 400S model and i am looking to do a supermoto conversion on it. not a whole ton of power, but just enough for a beginner bike. and if i take it out to track day, i can own in the twisties. lol. and then i can go and jump the ever living hell out of it when i get done at the track. lol. i was wanting a sport bike for my first bike but my step-dad who has been riding since he was 18 (now 38) said i should start out on an enduro because he knows im gonna go down. lol. that, and i dont want to be a fucking squid. lol

just curious what kind of quotes you are getting??? My insurance this year is $2023 for my Ninja 250

From memory, plates alone are 500$ for a lower than 400cc non-sport model. Those 1000cc superbikes are over 1000$/y on plates alone. Driver's liscence is another beast.

I haven't even asked about insurance at that point.

But then, i only get 4-5 months a year where i could ride, and its been raining a lot these past few years.


You paying half the value of your bike in insurance is beyond me..

wow dude, that is crazy about the plate fees!! my insurance is not quite half the value... it is still high but i know it will at least keep coming down

Well i said that because the price on the ninja is 5k and the cbr, 4.5k before negociations.


It's like asking me to pay ~12k insurance for my truck! wut?

I just bought my 2009 ninja 250 yesterday, i love the thing. matches my trucks too! =]
