Default Remington 887?

i have a few questions for anyone who owns one already. my first is probably pretty obvious, how is it as a shotgun? second, do you believe that (if you have shot 870s before) the problems that keep being spoken about are from people who are to familiar with 870 and are not given the shotgun time to grow? thirdly, how was it performed in the current and past turkey seasons as well as waterfowl? thanks

Dont like remington shotguns, They need to stick to rifles.

Check out the Pardner Protector. Its basically a rem clone and its actually a little better, and cheaper. Has more metal parts, a better grip, etc.

Theres an action shot!

Woops, its the same as an 870, which is what you dont want i guess.

----------

its still cheaper though

lean into the rifle a bit, also. What is the shotgun going to be primarily used for.

I own an 870, and have shot the 887 quite a bit, and the 887 feels really cheap, and I've had numerous problems with the one I've shot, mainly FTE's... the ergo's are good on it, but I think they need to stop trying to re-invent the wheel (with the 870 being the wheel).

Thats a new weapon right there so i cant say for sure yet, but it did GREAT its first day at the range. It feels solid as can be too. No cheaping out, most parts are metal, the stock grip feels nice on your racking hand, the stock it comes with is a good shape for hip fire or shoulder fire. Its a good weapon for the price, definatly not a cheapo gun.

My only complaint would be that it's heavy, but for all the right reasons. Its tough, and the weight will help with the kick. I got mine for 219 at Dicks.
