I know you said you do not like medical, but have you looked into becoming a Physical Therapy Assistant? They get paid well and there are always companies looking for them. It is a good job. You do not get the crap nurses get and you would get to help people get better.

There are placement companies that specialize in matching PTAs with jobs all over the country. They cover your insurance, housing, travel to the site. You live/work for 3 to 6 months and then go to your next assignment. And they get paid even better. Around $30 bucks an hour or more I think.

That is just one job, there are a lot of possibilities out there. It is great that you are thinking about this at 17 and a junior in high school. It gives you time to figure out what you want before going to school.

Some advice I can give you is that make a list of all of the jobs you would think you would want to do. Do some research on the jobs, write pros and cons of each job. After you narrow down the list a little, go talk to some people who do work in those jobs. Do some job shadowing. It would give you a hands on view of what you would be doing day in and day out.

This is the right time for you to be figuring it out. That way when you go to college, you will know what you want to do and not be trying to figure it out there.

What is Bright Futures?? I'm guessing a state scholarship for a certain ACT score?

Here in Missouri I had to get a 31, took me 2 tries, on the ACT in order to get a "Bright Flight" scholarship (only $2000 a year). But it was worth the $100 you spend on taking the test.

well i actually made a decision. im going to go to tech school for natural resources technician. i love being outside and the outdoors and i want to do something i truely will want to do for the rest of my life. i took the ACT(probly wont need it for this school but just good to take it) so ill see how i did in a few more weeks. And if i ever wanted to transfer after my two years i could
