I am getting an 88 civic from a friend to commute in. 15 miles to the gallon is hard to drive on... I spend too much time driving out of town to run the ranger everywhere.

There's no changing my driving; even at $3.799/gallon and an average economy of 16.5 mpg. 24 miles a day commuting (most of it highway) plus anywhere else I want, or need to go.

Each day I commute 23 miles one way, so I put on a minimum of nearly 50 miles a day on my truck. I try and do all my running around after work, so no unnecessary trips back out once I'm home. Overall, though, not much I can do. I have tried to maximum stops the last couple of years to keep miles and costs down.

I used to pull over 55 miles one way. It was around 110 miles round trip 6 days a week in my grand prix. Then i moved closer to work, bought the ranger and let the gf drive the grand prix. The 2 mile round trip is great now, so the gas prices dont bother me to much.

X2. Gas is expensive, but I've yet to really cut down on driving places.

Its pretty crazy in IL too. Almost $4/gallon. But like a lot of the others, I really can't NOT drive.

im might be getting gas tomorrow after 3 weeks and 4 days since i last filled up. If i don't go anywhere tomorrow ill get it friday or maybe saturday try to push it to a month last time i filled up 3 weeks ago it was $3.60. i drove by a gas station today the one i usually go to and it was 4.05. I honestly don't give a shit. If you save your money and don't spend it on useless crap like eating out everyday then you should be fine and have money to spend on gas.

Gas was about $3.45-$3.50 (varried from place to place) in Houston, and it all had 10% ethanol in it...The station I usually go to back here was at $3.39 this morning...They didnt have ethanol in their gas 4 months ago so Im assuming they dont now. $3.29/gal at 7-11 and I know they have ethanol.

Yes, I drive back and forth to work, and I try and make only one trip a week into town. I try and make use I do everything in one trip to town, to save gas money and money in gerneral. I know the more I go to town the more money I spend.

Man i wish gas was that cheap here... our average fuel price for southern Ontario Canada is $1.22 a Liter (thats $461 a gallon).... last week when i was driving back from northern Ontario i filled up and it was $1.30 a liter ($4.91 a gallon)

I try to not pay attention to the price to much... living out in the country you have to drive so there is not a whole lot you can do about it...At least the weather is going to be getting warmer soon and i can start getting out on the motorcycle more.... and i just got a new much better paying job and i'm pretty sure i will just be dropping my truck off at a carpool place and travelling in a company truck

Yeah, the price of gas in insane. The oil companies are making killer profits. I'll probably be selling my 2nd Ranger for a Suzuki Burgman 400 or 650 soon if the gas prices keep going up.
