hey guys i know this is a ranger forum but all the Mitsubishi forums suck! (GO FORD GUYS!) - so i have a few questions from a friend:
he has a 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse and it doesn't accelerate smoothly and runs rough, jerky at higher speeds. any thoughts?  also wondering how to check tranny fluid level? im a Ford guy so im not familiar with this thing... any help (especially pictures) would be awesome!

Plugs, wires, clean throttle body, check compression ratio, get it scanned in general.

thats basically what i told him - he just thinks it has something to do with the tranny - i havent seen it (its in VA where i cant get my hands on it) - but that doesn't make sense to me - its gotta be in the engine - thanks!

its in a little country town on the west side - about 40 mins. from johnson city, TN.

clogged cats will do that to you, or a malfunctioning 02 sensor will mess with your fuel mixture. Did your friend get his car scanned for codes?

its a girls car actually haha - its one of my best friends gfs car.
and idk what shes done to it - sadly shes not very car savvy and i can't get my hands on it right now - but ill have her look at it - or get someone who can more likely

bring it to autozone or some where similar and ask them to scan for codes. Even if the check engine light is off, there could still be codes stored.
