Default getting a commuter car?!

so i my friend has an 88 honda civic with under 200k and a 5 speed. basically i would be getting the car for free. this would be just a commuter, and that would make it so i could park the ranger and not beat it to death on all the commuting i could potentially be doing. im kinda torn on it tho, it would only cost me an extra 20 bucks a month to insure, and the gas i would be saving would be killer. what do you all think?

I have been thinking about this for awhile to. Only difference is I would have to buy a car not for free! I say do it. I racked the miles on my ranger already. Glad I have a spare motor for when this one poops.

yeah its a killer deal, and i do love my ranger, dont get me wrong but right now im 3 hours away from where im looking for work, and my truck is getting somewhere in the 14-15 mpg range so getting a civic and driving the 300 mile round trip could save me hundreds in a matter of 3 or 4 trips... not to mention i have brand new 33 inch tires i dont want to wear out...

yeah i really dont wanna be beating on my truck all the time, it would increase the longevity of the truck by years. i would be trading my new springfield xd 40 hand gun that i just got for it hahaha since i got the motorcycle for free and traded the motorcycle for the gun, and the gun for a car the car is basically free right? plus he is my buddy so i can still shoot the gun!

yeah i know, mostly just kinda flaunting what im getting, and trying to verbalize my thought process right now, my thoughts are totally not clear currently cause of some very unorganized chaos going on in my life right now. plus its something to take my mind off of all the crap going on

I say do it. It's funny, you want a car to keep miles off of your truck. I have a truck to keep miles off of my car.

Don't forget the huge vtec stickers and you need to scream as loud as you can at each gear change.

lol yeah thats the idea, the car is perfect for commuting in, and the hatchbacks even the old ones are desirable, so i shouldnt have a problem getting rid of it later on. getting 30+ mpg sounds amazing. not to mention everything on the car is cheap and i can get cheap used tires for it for like 20-30 bucks all day long hahaha

----------

hahaha im gonna gett the biggest fucking JDM sticker i can find.

That's what i'd do (not the picture lol), just plaster the car in vtec and jdm stickers.. making fun of fanboys with a base model.
