Veterans - Air Force or others - Page 5

I was active duty Air Force from 2007 to 2010. Did AIT at Ft Leonard Wood, MO then stationed at McConnell AFB my entire enlistment (minus going to Ireland, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq)

AFSC was 2T151 Veh Ops. Got early separation due to medical reasons. My convoy got hit in Baghdad and my truck took the most damage. Unfortunately, now I'm 23 with back problems for the rest of my life..

But now I'm going back to college next fall on Uncle Sam's dime

The GI bill is awesome man. I actually should be able to get a masters out of it.
That really sucks that your back is messed up already. Have you looked into voc rehab? That's what program I'm in and it's the best gi bill to use, especially since you have disabilities

I've never heard of it. I'll have to check into it. The program that I got is through John Deere. I'm going to school using my GI Bill, and then John Deere is paying me back plus I'll have a job at a dealership as a service tech.

No one on here a SEAL, eh? I'm a Canadian, haven't served, and don't think I will. Just tossing out a thanks to all the guys who have served, of any Country. I have been reading a lot of books lately about the Marines, and the SEALS. Some tough son of a guns.

You may have met the gf's brother in law, last name Martin, he's an F16 mechanic
