I'm no vet nor am I active. My father was an MP for 27 years. He served in desert storm, Haiti, Korea, and most recently Irag and afghanistan. He retired as an E9 out of Ft. Riley KS. He was also the provos SGT. on Ft. Leavenworth, and stationed inFt. Bragg when the C47 crash landed on the tarmac 93-94 I think it was. He now works for a company called DARPA http://www.darpa.mil/, we can all thank them for inventing the internet and bionic prostetics. Currently he is working on what are called Autonomous Vehicles (pronounced on-tawn-omous), They will replace medical personel in dangerous situations. Better to lose a machine than a soldier. My father is to the far left. It would seem he is the proudest of the group to be called Soldier. HOOAH!

This seems like an appropriate thread to post this, the last American WW1 Veteran has been laid to rest:

Speaking of which just got notification for a deployment. I might be gone for a while, so keep the light on for me.

That's about all I can say right about now.
