I really can't imagine why they would do that? Especially with fuel costs rising. I mean Chevy got rid of the s-10 and came out with the colorado. Is ford planning another smaller sport pick-up? I mean what will auto parts stores and millions of other places use for work trucks? How about the construction guys and all those other industrial workers rely on. Its a sad day. So what year is going to be the last run?

Way to go dude, I don't know how much good it did, But I will feel better knowing atleast some of us are fighting for the truck we believe in. Hell this little trucks (whether 4cyl or V6) do the impossible for us everyday whether start everyday even after 300K Miles or carry past the payload or even beat those little Honda drivers, why not do a little something back for the little truck that can and could even after almost 20yrs of experience with little changes. if it aint broke, just improve it don't get rid off it. End Rant

Ford is just putting it all into the F150, they are working for a 40 mpg hybrid that can tow 11,300 lbs

Problem is, the F150 is a bigger truck, some people dont want or need a bigger truck.

Well atleast Ford didnt make a new one based off the Taurus platform.

this is it!...the last run of the ranger. As far as I have found out the future remain uncertain. I never thought i would see the day that the most dependable truck that I have EVER SEEN will be taken off the market. I am glad that I got mine when i did thats safe to say but I planned on upgrading to a new ranger. I am glad there are other people that share this mindset along with myself. I will continue to drive my "last of a dying breed" and try and keep it nice and wave at all the hybrid drivers as im still getting as good and in some cases better gas mileage than they probably ever will hahah
