it didn't pass smog by a mile today. so i had to take her back. Was only getting it for a grand but the engine needs so much work. And i do mean so much work and $$$. Thats why it was only a grand but it would take a lot of work and time and money to get this thing to pass. It got the gross polluter tag on her now so in cali that means forget it. I told the guy thanks but no thanks and he said the same and i told him to just maybe part out the truck.

gay ass K/N intake it was actually sucking in the hot engine air. on the f150 forum every one says stay away from it on these years which i was going to go back to stock. Plus the motor was a SD "speed density" not MAF which i didn't like also

well here is a pic of it. not in the best shape but for a grand it was perfect. Oh well my quest for a v8 f150 continues and with the gas prices going up the way they are right now i know i wont have a problem finding one again.

This kids, is why you stay the hell out of California if you love older vehicles, but don't have alot of cash.

everything egr valve failed, timing was off, vacuum leaks, running way to rich. It was bad. but i kinda knew it was going to fail i told edgrider2002 last night it was lol
me and you both man.. Im kinda glad it didn't pass though because it was going to need a lot of work and time and money. When i got it home yesterday there was only 3 quarts of oil in the dam thing and it holds 6.1 quarts. It was empty on power steering. Fixed his IAC valve with a new gasket with it. Fixed the 4x4 low gears. There was still so much to fix. power window didn't work, a/c was done for. battery was shot. alternator was shot. just actually glad its out of here but i still loved the way it look lol

yea but cali vehicles have no rust i have the cash also but he was asking 3g but once i open the hood we got him down to 1g fast. But it had to pass smog but no way in hell it was going to. I knew it to but went for it anyways just to see. And it bottomed out at the bottom and now he can't sell it until he fix's a lot of shit. The tittle of the truck is now a gross polluter

I call BS on the no rust Cali vehicle claim. My F100 spent most of it's life in Cali AFAIK, and it has rust on it. Now, it's not as bad as it could be, but it's still got rust.

Sucks about the truck man, it would be a great mud truck around here.

rust where i live is a never seen thing unless its out of state lol and thanks man it would of been a fun project truck but there is always more out there. Its like women there is always more of them plus with 5 bucks a gallon around the corner all these lifted DD trucks will be showing up like crazy. It will be a perfect time to buy a big v8. Because i'm not worried about gas. I can go 2 and a half weeks before i fill up in my ranger. And a f150 will be my weekend cruiser truck.

i have no idea. I just got the phone call from my mechanic and said don't even bother with it man. Its not worth the money like stated above. So i called the owner to go pick up his truck its done lol he must of got the print out of it. And i just checked C.L again and he reposted it. Don't know how he can sell it if it can't pass smog if his life depended on it lol

cars older than 1972 don't have to smog. Unless there's something seriously wrong, most can pass pretty easily. and yes, NO RUST!!!!!! unless it was from by the coast, then they get salty ocean water rust
