Default The quit thread.

I have wanted this for a while and haven't. I decided to quit dipping snuff and drinking. I wanted to start this thread to help myself and anyone else who would like to quit any bad habbit to post here. If you feel like you want to give in post here and I or someone else will talk you through it. If you have already quit a habbit please stop by here and help those of us who are trying to quit. I think this can help a lot of people on FRF. Thanks.

Best of luck to you man. Quitting dip is one of the hardest things to quit. I'm glad I quit before I got addicted to it. I've seen so many close friends try to quit time and time again, and ultimately failing each time.

good luck to you, if you put youre mind to it you will be able to quit no problem. i quit dipping in 05 when was in Iraq after doing it for a few years, it sucked at first but it got easier. i found that eating sunflower seeds and chewing gum helped with the habit part.

I suggest anyone to quit their bad habits.

My dad died but they got revived him and put him on life support. He has COPD and his lungs collapsed.

He had to have tubes go all in his stomach and lungs to drain fluids and tar. Junk was nasty lookin'.

He said he was going to quit because he don't want to have to go through that again...if he does it again..it will be his life.

SO, just think before you puff....would you want to puff on a pipe going down yer throat to your lungs and stomach?

It can mean snorting tobacco, however in this case I believe he means he is trying to quit dipping...as in putting it in his lip.

Best of luck. If you WANT to do it you will. I quit a 25 year smoking habit in 2001 and it was (and is) one of the best things I have ever done. I used the patch and didn't have much problem. It wasn't easy but I was ready and really wanted to get it done. Never looked back. I never dipped but I am sure they are similar. I did use candies, gum and little treats to help me along and I also kept a daily log of the money that I was saving which adds up really quick. After you have accumulated some savings go out and buy yourself a nice reward. It's not easy but the long term rewards are wonderful. Best of luck to you!!!

Good luck bro. For a while I was heavy on weed and other drugs, I quit most of them, I'll smoke weed once in a while. I quit cigs too completely, cold turkey. For one they were getting too expensive, and two they just made everything smell so bad. I tried dip once and I hated it. lol Of course I was at school and got a huge nicotine high. lol but anyways, best of luck.
