Quit dope before you end up a dope.

Or a midget will come to your house and beat your fingers til you can't smoke a roach again.

Once your life has come at stake and you cherish it at all you will think twice before doing stuff that will harm you.

I quit smoking cigs about 8-9 years ago. Just before I quit, I was smoking about a pack and a half a day. Pall Mall's, Lucky Strikes, Camel Wides and cloves were among my favorites. What helped me was niccotine patches and lots and lots of skateboarding.

The toughest part about it was those parts of my day to day routine that was correlated with smoking. The best thing is to keep yourself busy or distracted. The rest of my free time I kept myself out of breath with skateboarding.

Eventually, with the money I was saving from NOT smoking, I was able to pay off my school loans alot faster and buy my first motorcycle. I miss smoking...alot, but I would never go back to it.

Well I want to quit dipping and I put the shit in my lip (THE HELL I'M SNORTING IT!). I still want to quit it, but I gave up on quitting drinking. I enjoy the occasional beer and I do not go overboard unless it is college football season, Mardi gras, spring break, my birthday, July 4th, New years, or if there is something to celebrate. It sounds like a lot, but that is times I justify it, but it doesn't mean I do it everytime one of those days comes around. I had a few drinks on New years and stayed sober this year. The only reason I was gonna quit was for a girl and we broke up after a year and a half. She made me change myself and I learned to not do that. I'm ready to find a good girl and have some fun in the mean time! Still I need to quit dipping.

When somebody tells them my lip is gonna fall off I tell them I can't wait haha. Not that I really want my lip to fall off. I've been dipping for around 8 months and about a can a day for around 6 months. Now here's the trick. Me and my ex girlfriend(whom I've been broke up with for three years) recently got back together again, and she wants to make an agreement that if I quit snuff that she will quit smoking. Damn that' gonna be hard

It wasn't easy but I was ready and really wanted to get it done. Never looked back. I never dipped but I am sure they are similar. I did use candies, gum and little treats to help me along and I also kept a daily log of the money that I was saving which adds up really quick. After you have accumulated some savings go out and buy yourself a nice reward. It's not easy but the long term rewards are wonderful. Best of luck to you!!!
Awesome job ... To everyone as well !!!!

You should be proud of yourself as its just like being addicted ....

I quit after 35 years , The same way you did , As I used the patch for approx . 6 months . hardest part was after you would have a cup of coffee , eat , etc . 2 packs a day heading for 3 . I loved smoking .
I quit 6 years ago and never looked back . I developed early symptoms and decided enough was enough before I would kill myself .

Do yourself a favor ( Old guy talking here now LOL) don't start , if you do smoke do everything you can to try and quit . If at first you don't succeed , try , try again . Took me 6 or 7 times before I finally did it . Just don't stop trying .

Also , I stopped drinking a while ago too . You guys are pretty sharp to see what it can do to you if you let it abuse you .... Nice job and Nice thread !
