Since the locks on my cap are a solid mass of corrosion, I don't. They will get replaced eventually but like previously stated, if a thief wants something bad enough, they will find a way to break in or they will just steal the vehicle. Locks only keep the more honest people out.

while i understand that..the whole purpose of locks is to deter those lets just grab it and go thieves.....if they see a bike in a parking lot...chances are by the time they come back with tools the bike will alrerady be gone

if a thief wants it bad enuf they will do anything they can...but isnt prevention still a good measure to take? -_-

Oh, if I have the ability to lock something up, I will. Whether it's a cable lock or whatever. Of course, with the current condition of the exterior of the truck, I doubt anyone takes a look inside.

here's my idea, take a shit ton of paw traps, and set them all around your truck and in the bed. There is a good idea to keep ur truck safe, haha jk.
I don't lock anything, nothing for me to lock up in there.

I have a lock box that i put all my gear in, but out here in the Bay Area of Calif, you have to beware of thieves that actually steal your TAILGATE !!!
I secured the tailgate with a .99cent radiator clamp on the right side.
If someone really wants to steal my tailgate now, they will have to use a screwdriver for about 2 minutes. Cheap, but effective!

people steel parts of cars here too, this kid I know.. Stole a tail gate off someones truck, and also stole the front grill off someones jeep. It's pathetic how far people go.

A tailgate really? who in the hell wants a tailgate that bad? i know for a fact i can get one for my model ranger for $23 dollars at my local junkyard! thats just rediculous. Around here, all the people(usually teens and i usually know them) go for stereo decks and amps.. if you dont have a good alarm(thank god i do) your fair game. Plus i have a lock box which is beyond nice because everyone around here is too damn lazy to try to break two locks lol pathetic
