Default Fiance's future ride

Well its that time of the year where most people dream about getting out their bland (2002 Sonata) rides and into something exciting. My questions is that my fiance is currently look at numerous vehicle options. here are her options

2008-present Subaru Impreza 2.5
2007-present Mitsubishi lancer GT
2011 Nissan Juke FWD SV
2009-present Lexus IS250
2011 Hyundai Tucson
2011 Ford Focus Ses

She is looking at getting a nice sporty reliable car. She would prefer to have them manual except the Juke (CVT) with a nice 4cyl engine thats decently loaded (power group, sunroof, AC, etc). I know that all of these vehicle are pretty much different from each other and also vary from price ranges. I know the lexus is basically a Corrola thats loaded at wice the price. I personally see her in either the Impreza or the lance but the Impreza is at least $10,000 more then the lancer and it comes AWD (not as negative, but not necessary). I know a lot about these cars but my opinion isnt helping her decide (I try and coax her to test drive them but she wants to wait ). I want to see what you guys think.

P.S. Any of you suggesting a Ranger I already suggested it to her, but she is worried about the carseats so that's not an option but she does like the Ranger. esp Blue!

the lexus isnt a corolla at all, its rwd. does it snow a lot there? im assuming so, cuz its canada, but you never know. that might make the is not the best decision.
i wouldnt get the juke because cvt isnt 100% proven yet.
i wouldnt get the lancer because honestly mitsubishi is dying, and theyre not totally reliable.
the impreza is awd, and good looking.

i havent driven any of the aforementioned cars though. just saying.

Ranger.

LOL! I know absolutely nothing about either of those cars, since my world seems to revolve around trucks. But best of luck on the future purchase!

I dont buy from mitsubiti. Their planes bombed the United states on Pearl Harbor. So a big nagative on that.

Subarus are really nice. So are Lexus's. So id go with either of those.

Or a ranger. You know, American.

Thanks dude, I was refering to the lexus as a Carolla merely in terms of dimensions and as well as perfomance (XRS with the 2.4L) with leather interior. I think the Juke would be too small for what we want to do and I don't believe in CVTs either. I have no idea how reliable Mitsus are but i did hear the 4 cyl. was pretty decent in it. I like the impreza but at $30K+ and with parts at premium prices. I don't know if it would be with in our budget while I am parying off my Ranger lol

Juke is ugly and despite looking semi-big on the outside, the back seats are useless for any normal sized person. I can't really recommend any forgien cars as I haven't had much experience with them. Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky are nice little roadsters that make good DD's (if you dont need a sedan). If she is looking for more of a sedan based car, chevy impalas are pretty quick (especially SS) but no manual trans AFAIK. I say go pontiac G8 GXP; LS3 ftw!

I just looked at your profile to check your age.
You kids are funny!
You are looking at this situation like a man does. Function, features, reliability, efficiency, practicality, etc.
She will most likely pick the one that she thinks is cute with a color that catches her eye...

Laurel bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 - a great 4by, 6cyl, small turning radius, etc.
She bought it because it is red and cute. She knows nothing about it except that it starts and stops.

i know some that like it, and a lot of women can drive them better men. i think it is because they are better at getting with their feelings and relate themselves to the clutch pedal, or something

I change my statement, SOME of them like driving manual, but ALL of them love the Stick Shift.

I am pretty sure that the manual is a must with my fiance. She is looking for a 4 door vehicle that will mostly be a munchkin hauler since my Ranger can't do it

my age has an impact on our choice of cars? As much as my fiance does like a vehicle that has a great stance, good body lines, nice rims, a spoiler and a good exhaust note, she would never jeopardize functionality for cuteness hence why her old BEETLE is gone.

Not all of them. Some Cali girls would rather put their hands "in" slush boxes then row the gears of a manly stick
