are they priced that high? How is the gti in price? I like the gtis, dunno why. I think they are the best hatchback out there. Most reviews of it say even though it isnt as powerful, the suspension and road feel ist fantastic.

^they do a cool hatchback comparison episode

No i didnt. Sadly never learned to drive manual other then once in my sisters new jeep with the shift lights up and down, other then that when i was 14, but i did read that they were fun in manual as well.

The cvt gives the manual with the convenience of the automatic. You can add in dash gps navagation with a hard drive in it, so you can loan music to the head unit and not have to worry about hooking up an ipod or puttin in cds.

one nice thing on the new ones was the keyless entry. You have the keyfob like most new cars but this didnt actually have keys. The keyfob would transmit to the car and all you have to do is touch a button on the handle or the truck and it would unlock all doors without getting any keys out and starting works the same way. The car wouldnt start with me in the drivers seat and the salesman in the passenger seat with the fob, he had to hand it to me before it started.

the gts comes with a touring package that you can add factory auto on HID as well as heated leather and rain sensing wipers.

I was at the point of buying one but the bank said my girlfriend couldnt make the payments on my grand prix so lancer was a no go.

----------

Heres a video on a 2010 model that shows a lot of the features without the navigation system.

Lol the 2.5L in the impreza is rated at "only" 170 HP. I think the 170 should be plenty for my fiance depending on how the car is geared.

Thinking of something like this. my fiance loves this car

Too bad the Wrx is a little bit too expensive

You are looking at this situation like a man does. Function, features, reliability, efficiency, practicality, etc.
She will most likely pick the one that she thinks is cute with a color that catches her eye...

Laurel bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 - a great 4by, 6cyl, small turning radius, etc.
She bought it because it is red and cute. She knows nothing about it except that it starts and stops.

2008-present Subaru Impreza 2.5
2007-present Mitsubishi lancer GT
2011 Nissan Juke FWD SV
2009-present Lexus IS250

She is looking at getting a nice sporty reliable car. She would prefer to have them manual except the Juke (CVT) with a nice 4cyl engine thats decently loaded (power group, sunroof, AC, etc). I know that all of these vehicle are pretty much different from each other and also vary from price ranges. I know the lexus is basically a Corrola thats loaded at wice the price. I personally see her in either the Impreza or the lance but the Impreza is at least $10,000 more then the lancer and it comes AWD (not as negative, but not necessary). I know a lot about these cars but my opinion isnt helping her decide (I try and coax her to test drive them but she wants to wait ). I want to see what you guys think.

P.S. Any of you suggesting a Ranger I already suggested it to her, but she is worried about the carseats so that's not an option but she does like the Ranger. esp Blue!
Subaru, go anywhere, do anything, reliable as hell, good resale, etc., etc.

Yes, the Silverado has cylinder deactivation. When you're going down hill, just turn the truck off. Works great!
