""she would never jeopardize functionality..." LOL Bro!!

That's exactly what I mean. You think, at your age, that you have any idea of what drives a woman's decisions?
If you think you know something about women, you're wrong.
Give yourself another 35 years - you will freely admit you know nothing about them and you will be proud and happy to say so.

Seriously, (no sarcasm and no joke) I wish you all the best."

I never claimed that I knew everything about women or even anything at all. All I know is that we have our future in mind and that includes children which means we need to put safety and functionality before anything else (even if that means and Ugh Minivan).

But seriously (no sarcasm and no joke) thank you for your honest opinion.

what about new Cruze? I haven't done much research on it, but I have heard it was been pretty highly rated for its interior. I dont think the Cruze fits into sporty though lol.

any interest in a hatchback like the VW GTI, Mazda 3 or Fiesta? The GTI especially is real fun to drive, handles well and has plenty of room.

All great suggestions, although my fiance doesnt want another Vdub after her Beetle Fiasco . My fiance doesnt' like the cruze but she does like the Focus but even the SES doesnt seem that sporty

Pretty sure the Pontiac G8s have cylinder deactivation.

But i was looking at the Lancers myself but went for the ranger instead (aunt sold cheap)
but the lancer gts comes with a lot of cool features. The cvt with the tap shift was fun to drive and can be turned on on the fly and my buddy who is 6'3" fit in the seat behind me, not able to stretch out but his knees were smashed into my seat like my grand prix.

the new ones have 7 air bags and comes with 5 year 60k bumper to bumper and 10 year 100k powertrain.

check out the new keyless style entry systems in them as well

On another note you may also want to look at what your employers depending on how big have some dealer incentives, such as mine can get me 1000 under dealer invoice for the lancer, and has them for all the american manufacturers.

the fiesta is one sweet car, but its a little too compact for what we want to do with it. I think the smaller we could with would a compact car like the Focus. I think subcompacts are to small.

I don't believe the make the SVT anymore on the new focuses. The volvos are pretty sweet, I just think they ask a premium price just because its from Europe kind of like VW
