Does anyone know anyone who has a street legal atv? I know it can be done but was just wondering what they had to do to get it done. I want to have it done for when it's nice out since gas is getting expensive again!

Ha, haven't seen one down here. Well I do see people drive their fourwheelers on the highway or across but it's illegal.

i have heard in some states its legal, like in montana. in europe there are countries where it is legal too.

it is legal to ride your atv on the road where i live... except down the main road (you can only cross over it or go on if you absolutley need to) but there is a ton of people that ride to tim hortons and what not and you see all kinds of atvs ditch bangin it along side the highway to get around

They can be driven on roads here. They must have headlights, turn signals and brae light.
They are only allowed on side streets where the speed limit does not exceed 30 mph

headlights, taillights (brake lights) turn signals AND license plates are required on all motorized vehicles in order for them to be street legal here in MN

your best bet is to check your county regulations. Some will allow it. i just had to register mine with the Indiana DNR but that was a few years back.
