My buddy had the xd 45 and I loved it.I shot it a few times and fell in love with it. Very good choice. It's not that pricey and is an outstanding firearm. You will be pleased.

sweet, i traded my old broken down street bike for it and 250 cash on his end. he was telling me its a 500 dollar gun, we walked into the gun shop to get all the paper work and transfer it and he set in on the display case right on top of a new one like it for 640 hahahaha, i was hoping to get 500-600 for the bike, so this gun and 250 feels like a solid deal to me. do hand guns depreciate on value much?

guns don't lose value. It is one of the best investments you can make because as long as you don't trash it, you can sell them for what you bought it for 9 times out of 10

Yeah you wont be disapointed at all with a springfield .40 Just learn how to clean it and clean it as often as you prefer. A clean gun is generally better, especialy if you expect to get your money back when you sell it.

Buy a cheap cleaning kit, it should say in the gun manual how to take it apart and what you can clean and what you should oil. Best way to learn is to experiment a little with taking it apart.

It's a very nice gun. Buddy has one and it shoots nice. I decided i wouldnt get one tho becuase it felt very heavy to me and kicked like SOB compared to others but thats just me. His was brand new and I had the hardest time loading round 9&10 in the mag. Mag springs are very hard new but he said it finally got easy after a few trips to the range. Did it come with all the cool accessories (Holster, Mag Holster, Speed loader)?? I know they used to but I have heard that was maybe an intro thing when they first came out.

he gave me 3 clips, they are still very hard to load lol, a holster, a front handle that hooks on the sliders in front like a sub machine gun, 25 rounds of s&w ammo, the gun box it came in, instruction manual, the first cartrige ever fired from it (in the factory), i think thats it, no clip loaders.

you mean this?

thats the speed loader for your magazines, also it mounts on the "rail" on the pistol not sliders. why in hell they made it beable to mount on the rail is beyond me i havent seen a need for it to.

here is a vid on how to use it if you cant figure it out....
