Default UK North America truck use

My wife works for a US company with a site here in England. Occasionally I let her drive my ranger to work and I drive our MPV. She commented that whenever she drives it to work it sticks out so badly in the car park. No one has a pickup. Sure, there are Land Rovers etc but hardly any pick ups (Mitsubishi's are fairly common here).

This week she is in Wisconsin at head office. The car park is full of trucks, the roads are full of trucks. And your trucks are BIG. They're actually too big for British roads. An F150 looks way outta place here. (I think a super-duty would need a police escort!)

I love my truck but my friends tease me for being a hick/redneck etc -stereotypes from films I guess.

Just observations from over the pond

each country has their own "acceptable" vehicles and In the UK/Europe big vehicles with the exception of over the road trucks are not the norm. even in asia, smaller is better, due to the size of the roads in the cities. Americans believe in the "bigger is better" theory. The roads here are alway's being "upgraded" from 2 lane, to 4 lane, to 6 lane..
I had a relative visit me from Norway and he was amazed seeing the freeways have 8, 10 12, even 14 lanes for traffic.
some kind of vehicle.

Depending where you are in WI, there are a lot of trucks.

I hope your wife is enjoying all of the snow.
