what was the average cost for a gallon of gas the year you were born?
1967: .33 a gallon
at that price it would take just $6.43 to fill up a 19.5 gallon tank!

I remember in 2001 I was a senior and gas was like $1.19 or something. And I remember bitching about it!

The earliest I remember was 67 cents a litre. 20 bucks would fill up our 1993 Grand Caravan in the 90s

The lowest I remember was $0.84 per gallon in high school. Sometime around 1987ish.

Re: what was the average cost for a gallon of gas the year you were born?
I was born in 1994. Not sure how old i was but i must have been old enough to count by two's. I remember asking my dad "why don't they just make gas $2/gallon, that way it's easier to count. It must have been around a buck fifty or so at that time.

i read somewhere the average was $.90 in 1982, which was rather high for back then. i remember paying just over $1.00 when i got my licence in 1999 or 2000, back when you never worried about gas prices. lol

The lowest I can remember was mid-90's and it was $.60-$.70 and I could fill my first truck up with $10.
