heres one. How about designing engines so cramped and snaked over with emissions that most people are to intimidated to learn to change their own oil! I miss the old boats my parents used to drive, I always loved helping my dad under the hood and watching him practically crawl in there. Now your lucky if you can even see all your spark plugs much less get an arm down there!

x2 on the old boats. On my '67 F-100 you could hop in the engine compartmant and close the hood, change the radiator, lift the motor high enough to change a clutch! hahaha

I agree people are lazy behind the wheel, and over use it. But take it from someone who has put 30k on his truck in the last year alone cruise control also can save your BRAIN! I used to never use it, but after driving miles and miles, including one stint of 21 hours in one day. It really does help ease the commute. You just have to be vigilant, as many that have driven with me (there are several on this forum) can tell you, I am usually paying pretty good attention even with the cruise set.

i put 20k miles in my truck this year and it was destroyed for most of the summer so i could probably knock out 30k this year if i tried lol and that was without cruise control or ABS or airbags.. lol

and the fuel thing is called an AFTERBURNER system that is pretty much required for any diesel made these days

I hear you on that. I hope my slave cylinder never goes, it's not going to be pretty if it does.
