it sucks that ford isnt letting anyone in on their plans. you have to think they are working on a replacement already. no way they will just kill the ranger and walk the other direction
especially with them just releasing the raptor, maybe a ranger raptor is next? that would be awesome

In that case, I better start looking for the B-Series tailgate I've been wanting.

I find it hard to believe that Ford would walk away from the segment altogether and let GMC/Chevy, Toyota, and Dodge have all the profits.

i bet that ford is brewing up something bigger and better? it's not uncommon for them to keep secrets from the general public.

i agree, because the rangers sells so well and if ford left the compact market, it would be a HUGE mistake

however, i just wish ford could have some decency and inform the public on its intentions with the ranger and it could even end up helping sales of the ranger...

If they announced a replacement truck or a definite end of production, it would do anything but help sales. Nobody will buy the current version if they know it's going to be killed.

it could certainly boost sales if people don't like the replacement? they would want the last one before the model change.

Maybe, if the next one is a step backwards. But I don't think "lame duck" models generally sell as well as they otherwise would if the company hasn't announced plans for a redesign or replacement.

thats exactly what i was thinking, and since rangers are so popular finding parts wouldnt be a probably and their is such a dedicated and loyal base around teh ranger i could see many people buying them before ford ends production
