Animal fat shmanimal fat. When I was little my grandma ALWAYS fried EVERYTHING in lard. We used homemade soap that was made from rendering animal fat. My grandpa and dad waterproofed their boots by cooking down animal fat and rubbing it into the leather. Ah the good ol days... lol
When my mother makes ham and beans she puts in a huge piece of bone from a hog. The bone marrow gives it all the flavor! YUM!

Regardless of the outcome, I find it kind of funny there is an actual legal battle over weather Taco Bell can refer to their food components as "meat."

Re: TACO BELL in case you missed the news
I ate TB the other night. I didn't get sick. I was like WTF? If I get the chicken quesadilla, I shit my pants for the rest of the night. But last time I got the cheesy gordita box, and I was perfectly fine. I guess I went on a healthy night.

Re: TACO BELL in case you missed the news
I've heard people who used to work at taco bell tell me you would never eat there if you knew how that it was made. Which is true for 95% of food out there. If you knew how certain things were made or how bad the factory is you would never touch it. Like I know people who work in peanut butter plants do not eat peanut butter.

Funny how you mention nasty food preparation practices, and Hardees, cause if you had seen what I saw when I worked there, you wouldn't eat there either. It's all about the risk dude!
