Default Digging at -35

So I'm up because I've got a frozen sub pump drain at my place... It's be a real strong cold snap here for a while and seem like the I've got a frozen pipe

Should be fun to fix... anyone have any tips for digging at -35

It's bad enough trying to dig 6" to place a target in 10 degree weather. I agree with azgilamonster, hire somebody to do it for you.

Took a look and not a chance to make right in this temp so I'm going to run a new pipe this afternoon and clear out the permenant when it's a bit warmer... if it gets really warm it'll clear itself.

On the plus side it's warming up... only -25 now so not as bad to work outside this aft.
On the minus we keep loosing hydro so not fun for the heat in the house or tools outside.

Problem solved... 100ft of new pipe and 8hrs of work in this lovely weather and I've got a new sub pump drain setup. Very satisfying to have done the job but man this weather sucks... forecast says going to be -9 instead of minus -30 soon though.
