Sad to see him go, it's people like him that made this country great. I thank all of our fighting men and women of past and present for their service.

R.I.P. Maj. Winters. Amercia lost one of it's "modern" war heros. Hopefully he is finally at peace.

Band of Brothers is one of the best war movies/mini-series I've ever seen. A true depiction of how bad it really was with no prejudice and holding nothing back. Coming straight from the soldiers. If you haven't seen or read the book even, I highly recommend doing both.

The actual documentary about E company was one of the best pieces of film I've ever seen in my life. Band of Brothers still is the best series of its type I've ever seen. Those guys walked through the fires of hell for ALL OF US.

When people asked whether he was a hero, he echoed the words of his World War II buddy, Mike Ranney: "No, but I served in a company of heroes."

God Bless you Mr. Winters.
