I personaly, like many others, dislike most of these changes. I feel things like facebook and fancy video frames cheap thee human experience. Texting extensively when your with people is rude I don't care what you say. Face book takes people you barely know and classifies them as your friend. Friendship is an earned partnership that you develope through experiences and physical time together. Not from pressing a like button and knowing what they are doing at all times. As for video pure frames I feel that to be very cheapening to human connections as well. What that says is that that moment of time is not important enough to you to have a dedicated spot on your precious desk or wall all to itself. this is also the result of digital photography. now that you can just point click laugh and then delete a picture as many times as you want, what's the point of keeping any of them. I am a strong advocate for pysical media. I am 21 years old and own more vinyl records then I do cd's and have never downloaded anything that has not been out of production for more then 20 years. I buy a record and hold it in my hands and I dont see it as something that just makes amusing sounds. I see it as a piece of art. when you buy a cd your not just buying music.,Your fulfilling someones dream, some one worked very very hard to make that record happen and to me it's worth more then the 12$ we pay for it at the store. Its deffinatly worth more then 99 cents a song or wh at ever people are paying. end rant.

A majority of the technology we have now started in the military. They have technology that is 10-20 years ahead of what's available to the public. That's as of 1990-2000s, it may still be true now, but who knows. GPS, computers, cell phones, hell i'd even throw in video recording equiptment. all was in government hands before the public even knew it was possible.

A little over 500 years ago all thought the world was flat. The Roman Empire although cruel made roads, running water, architecture that is still mimicked worldwide in great government buildings...what we know as their evil ways...the bloodsport spectacles in the arenas of the far-flung empire...oh people today wouldn't love that. Are we so different..only in the progress of technology...not in human relationships of all kinds. The Romans had political intrigue of an equally advanced nature. We live like we still think the world is flat although we've known it isn't for a very long time. A flat world would allow for incessant human population growth and endless reserves of non-renewable energy, minerals and even food production. Progress as has happened at a staggering rate could bring about a better future for all...or be a symptom of total destruction in the not too far off future.

Forget to take your meds today?? WTF are you talking about?? lol

I still remember my sister teaching me how to tell time when I was around 5-6yo. She used a cardboard circle from a frozen pizza, and a thumbtack with posterboard clock hands. I learned much easier that way for some reason. No offense to anyone here but if you can't tell time on a regular clock then you're a F'N IDIOT and you should have your reproductive organs removed.

I look at my kids and it makes me sad thinking of all of the things they will go without. But it is our job to teach the younger generations.

I thought of a couple things kids in 2011 will never know:

Dewey Decimal System and card catalogs at Libraries -- Granted I don't remember a lot of it, but I could use a card catalog and find the books I need, without a computer.

Navigation with a map and compass -- I like the idea of GPS systems but I have no use for them. Give me a good topo map and my compass and I will find my way as good as with a GPS.

Gas for under a Dollar!! -- I may not be as old as some but I remember when I started driving gas being under a buck and people freaking out when it went over a dollar. Now at 3 bucks a gallon, it doesn't phase me.

Sport records without asterisks

remember the days when kids under the age 0f 16 didn't need cellphones, I mean who the hell do they need talk to at that age?

What about the days when cars didn't have back up cameras, Tvs in the headrests (6 Cd Changers, Or even better, Cars that parallel park themselves or tell you when its ok to merge. When did driving become so hard that we have to rely on sensors to do all the work. If you need all that techno crap to get from point A to point B. stay home or take the bus. Stay off the Roads you hooligans. Its bad enough that like 95% of people can't change gears for themselves, now people can't check blind spots, or even back up a car. Geez, What kind of world do we live in nowadays. Its crazy how many Toyota Siennas are driving around town with Sponge Bob playing for the kids in the back. It seems that Kids can't stand 25 mins without having their intelligence turned into slush from tv.

You asked for it;

A little much for your simple brain is it? Cardboard...concentrate...imagine yourself in Disneyland boy..with all your little friends around you!!! Bend over and lick Mickey's mouse.

Ya thank that degenerate Mojo. I'm sure he would admit his filthy thinking and take another toke of Crack or other such things as he tells the world more lies on his worthless behalf. Reminds me of a story of an Eskimo who lost his way....he ended-up being hopelessly fucked.

You know, most of the next generation might not even know what is or how to drive manual.

The shift already started, just look at how many people around you can't drive stick. Even shopping for a new car or truck well equipped usually means you get auto, or wait for it to be built.

Bird76Mojo...really brave that is isn't it? I use my real name not like you...come here...we are not allowed to have guns...don't worry about that. Come on I can wait a long time. You asked for it. Otherwise repent your sins now. Do it. Or sin will reflect on your behalf. The Lord Jesus will rip your soul apart and toss the bits into the lake of fire if you do not repent your evil sins. Repent you little bitch...NOW!!!!

There it is. Twice done and once dumbfounded....like a Monkey and a Peach-Pit....or a Dog and a Football.

How true, how often have seen a used car that was fully loaded but auto or a base car without even AC and was manual. geez i guess people that want to shift for themselves also want to roll down their own windows and adjust their mirrors in the rain
