converting to 4x4?
I have a 1964 Ford F100, stepside, short bed 2wd. I've been looking into converting it over to 4wheel drive but with it being a 64 (funny year) it is hard to find info on it. So does anyone know where I can find infomation on converting it? It cant be info for any other years because like a said it is a funny year.

Re: converting to 4x4?
I think a complete axel swap would be your only option.

Re: converting to 4x4?
No need to swap frames. First place to start. What is the front WMS to WMS width? That would really determine what axle your looking for.

Re: converting to 4x4?
All you need is a front axle, transfer case, 4x4 trans, and the linkage. Make sure your frame is strong enough to support 4x4 though. You make it sound like your truck is a 61-63 unibody?
