That's one of the biggest weaknesses of the ranger: no front mudflaps = rocks hit the undercarriage and the cabin rusts

thats why im glad i have mudflaps by every wheel...and i have no intentions of removing them

might have to looking into making some kind of custom plating next summer..
for now i have the rustproofing oil treatment, i guess it helps a little.

No sir, cannot install any kind of mudflaps on my front wheels.
Ford did not include any metal framing/brackets to allow me to do so.
I had some AWESOME off-road mudflaps, was going to replace the back ones too, but the screws would have been driven through plastic, so the first winter the flaps would have ripped off

damn that sucks...if you only had a steppie lol all the stepside rangers ive seen had mudflaps on them lol

Yeah, after a certain year rangers cannot have flaps in the front, i've never understood that one, considering ford didn't stop making the 4x4 versions.

I wish my truck didn't feel inclined to leak from every seal known to Ranger, from the trans back.
