ok so i got charged with theft more or less because i wouldnt tell on my friend.

He returned stolen merchandise and got caught and i was with him in the store but never touched the stuff and hes on camera holding and returning it. What should i do? lol

He made up this big long story about how he bought them off some random kid and i was with him when he did and i backed him up when the cop called to question me (i initially wouldnt speak with him and didnt really tell him shit when i did call him back) but no me and the kid are no longer friends and i dont care/wanna cover his ass when im about to get in trouble.

Im basically 18 now and plus im trying to DEP into the USMC and dont need the open case.

Advice?

oh yeah i go in to talk to the people tomorrow (Juvenile charge still)

im so pissed thats like unlawful i should file a complaint.

The only thing he really could get me for is accessory before/after the fact but the thing is how could they prove i KNEW he stole them? I just went to the store to look around wtf

oh trust me its not the first time. But i just dont see why they are even pursuing this because the kid got the stolen merchandise (that my friend returned) returned to him from the store, my "friend" returned what he exchanged for, but the kids who had stuff stolen from them are still missing two ipods. My stupid ass friend is such a pussy i wish he would just man up cause im not gunna tell on him. Its only a little theft charge man damn lol
