nope, the diff in prices between doing it myself and having it done in a garage was never big enough to bother.
on the ranger i have done 2 changes so far, i just hit 21000kms after the florida trip.

lol glad i could remind ya . I was just asking since I want to do the maintenance myself and not go to ford, but I dont want them to say that my warranty is void cause of that.

I usually spend between 40-50 bucks, but i run full synethic(sp?) and a K&N filter

eeeeffffff that!
i've been going to walmart for years, they use the same quality oils for regular, but i switched the truck to synthetic, so i save about 35-40$ from the dealership.

i dont trust walmart as far as i can throw those *******s,they for got to completely tighten down my grandpa's oil plug on his jeep once and it leaked the oil out

No, a dealership cannot force you to do your maintenance there, especially when they overcharge you on shitty no name products.
I'd rather save tons of money and get better quality elsewhere.

So far, dealerships have had a horrible track record, not even checking basic stuff on my truck, while walmart even measured my thread depth!
I guess i am lucky, the guys in WM's garage here are car nuts.
