You think we're gonna get LEDs for our headlamps anytime soon? I'm still debating if i should go HID or wait for LED.

i say hids. just because it would seem leds would need a bit more of a specialized housing for headlight use, moreso than hids.

But HIDs can be used in regular housing.

(i know, purists will always prefer projectors that concentrate the beam to burn people's fucking retinas lol)

I've read a bit on the subject here and there, it's pretty much a concensus that they are about to come out, but no one has any release date. Since 360 degrees LEDs are already out for other automotive bulbs, even fogs, i think it was h1s i've seen, i'm hesitant..

oh yeah i know that, but it would seem that leds might need a bit more specialized housing to 'aim' the light. like a projector, but different.

but im basing this purely off thought in my head. and im clearly not the brightest bulb in the knife drawer

Well hey guys.. figured id stop in and say hey.. im gonna crash out for the night.. had a long day at work... ill be on first thing in the morning... Oh and btw... leds would be way cool... who cares if it you have the get a different housing.. youd never have to replace another bulb.. Be worth it to me. Especially since theyre so bright.

I hate the projectors housings for our trucks though, looks so fugly.

I'd rather go the way of first gen mercedes and cadilac and use regular headlights. Even at our ride height, i often get idiots with projectors that blind me, it's all about fixing the height of the beam.
