Re: FRF Afterhours / BS Thread II
Eventful weekend indeed. First, on Saturday I had to drive 40 minutes south to take a chair and matresses to the dump for my uncle. Got the stupid Oh Dumb Light 5 times round trip. But the good news is I made $60, got some brand new tires for the driver's side, as well as got pics of the 95-97 4x4 i'm trying to get. Then, on Sunday I had to drive back to my Uncle's for an Easter get together. But this time, I got smart and wrapped a cable tie around the suspect trans connection. What do ya know, no oh dumb light the whole way there, or the whole way back. Then later that night I went to a bonfire in a hard to reach area in the sticks. My buddy asked me to help him haul some wood there. Forgetting the terrain there, I said sure. We get there, and I instantly remember the troture I was about to put the truck through. First, I had to drive down a rocky path about as wide as my truck. It had severe run off, so it was rocky as shit, and I got mega flex through it. I'm surprised nothing broke going down. Then, I remembered the big ass mud pit you had to pass through. By some miracle, I got the Ranger through it on the first try, but the underside got covered in mud. Then, when I left, I had to do the same thing again to get out of there. I finally make it to the highway, and my new IAC that I just got in November starts to give me fits. I took it as a sign that my truck did not like it, therefore my truck will never see the likes of mud again until it's got 150,000 miles on it, and it is no longer my DD, whichever comes first. It did make for some sweet pics though. I've got the body cleaned off, and some of the engine, but i'm gonna have to pull a Scott if I want it all out, which I do.
Mud sucks.
