So, a year ago I lent a ratchet strap to my neighbor to keep her pole barn thing from flying away. It was only supposed to be a temporary fix. Well today I found my ratchet strap half buried in the ground. I dug that bitch up, soaked it in WD40, and it works as good as new.

Funny story about WD40.
Went in the dealership because the tailgate lock i bought at ford looked fused from grey/green matter (we have a name for it in french, sorry but i can't think of any translation for it atm). The dealership said since its not a ford part, there's no way they'd touch it, and they didn't have any idea how to fix it anyways.
A week later, i buy a can of gunk (wd40 equivalent), spray twice onto the latch that refused to open, and a day later it worked like i changed it for a new one.
Yay for DIY!
