What I always do is measure your shocks compressed the flex it and measure that call up rough country pro comp etc give them the min and max lengths tell them you need eaither a stud top or bolt through and they will tell you want shock to get. Now it prob wont be for a ranger but heck.

O dont tell them its for a ranger they will try and sell you one for it, tell them you need a shock with those measurements.

Just tell them what type pf top and bottom mount you have bolt through (eye hole with bolt going through it to the frame) or studded top (threaded on the top and a nut goes on)
