i just hope ford is smart and is willing to invest money and do a proper redesign of the ranger...

thats what im thinking...after all, the sales are still good but ford should start the redesigning process now so they can take tehy time and make another successful generation of rangers

They are. I think whenever that actually kill the current Ranger, the replacement will be ready to roll.

I hear ya. I got mine thinking it was going to be the last of it. Then I heard they were keeping the St. Paul plant open till 2012 (or something like that)

I read in the paper a few weeks ago that the Ranger demand has gone up, and will be putting the workers on OT to keep up the demands for these..

I think it should be left alone.. Cuz all the other guys are ugly body/box style where the Ranger is still a true truck/box out there in the small size..

if you remember the ranger was a base fill sized truck in the 70 and if you look at the freestyle you will see the trucks that was posted at the start of the thread only grills a little different and s#$^% i don't like them

i dont like this proposed new truck at all and i think its horrid when you compare it to the current model but the truck does still need a redesign
